To my many friends, a huge "thank you" for your concern on why I've not been blogigng any entries. I am humbled that I have a following of sorts. It means much to me that my thoughts and daily struggle are insprirational to you. I hope that I would be able to profit from your experiences as well.
These couple of weeks have been a tiring one. Getting up late almost everyday to catch the company's transport for the 1 1/2 hour ride to Tuas South is a challenge. Meeting, facing and dealing with problems and un-resolved issues from months before I joined the company is an uphill task. Alhamdulilah! Day by day, it's becoming more of a norm, although I would have greatly appreciated a mentor for a bit of a time. I'm glad to have Phil & Innes to guide me, though I'll miss them (not only for their technical advices) but their company as well, when their contract ends and they move back to Australia. They're good people. Intelligent, knowledgeable, yet humble. Nice people. Unlike some of the older (not really older in age, but they've been in the company longer than me, though her startup's only less than four years) workers who think the world of themselves. Little do they understand that the technology applies only to their industry. It's unlikely it can be carried out on a similar in other industries. I sure hope my skills are relavant! Insya Alllah. Best to just ignore these people and do what you think is right. Afterall, the objective is to make the company profitable. Or so it seems.
The job has been treating me all right I guess. It is a caring company. Just has a blood test today for glocuse and cholestrol. I was one of the few who screamed and winged, gathering attenting from quite a few people. Ah well, never said I had a high tolerance for pain.
One thing that I really appreciate is that I've the time and place (after much searching) to pray my Zohr. I cannot begin to tell you how fortunate I am. Alhamdulilah! It's one thing to get up early and do your Subhr. It's a great feeling to be able to do your Zohr and not have to qadak any of your prayers! I can only imagine how many muslims are as fortunate as me. The only drawback is the nearest mosque to do my Friday Prayers would probably be in JB! Insya Allah, if He permits, all of the muslims there would be able to do Jemaah Prayers on Friday. Word has got around that there's this chinese guy who's been praying in the recreation room (yes... we have a recreation room with a pool table, two table-tennis tables, TV with DVD player, etc, etc...). Alhamdulilah, people are surprised and one of them actually told me his was happy that I was praying because he seldom prays. Insya Allah, I truly and sincerly hope that he would go back to his Fitrah, for that is His Way. We should help every stray brother or sister and be united. How can we fight against the enemy of shaitan where we fight amongst ourselves? Let us not judge, for lest we want to be judged, except by Him. Insya Allah, let us all be united.
Su & I would be going to HDB this morning. Insya Allah, we'll be able to get the unit that we;ve been recceeing for. It's in Anchorvale. Not more than 5 mins walk from CompassPoint. Although it's on the 3rd storey, it's cheap at S$178,000 for a 5-room flat. Insya Allah, we'll be able to get it within 3 months, as what they webbie said. Insya Allah. It would be my dowry to Suraya.
In the midst of the excitement of searching for a flat and finally deciding on one, we fail to see that in the process, we would need to be married! What a joke! We, or rather I, totally forgot about it! It's been planning for a house and planning to moving in! Never gave our marriage mucch thought. I took it for granted! Insya Allah, we'll be married shortly.
This week, both of us had some good news about the flat and payments that was to be made for the flat. I've been praying very hard for it, and I'm sure Su has been too. Alhamdulilah! Our prayers have been answered! Insya Allah, I'll be able to fast soon enough to thank Him for His Mercy & Grace! Alhamdulilah!
Life as a muslim has been great. Insya Allah, I'll be able to take things easier. In fact, I've been able to do just that. My failure comes when it's about work. As usual, I push and push and push. Insya Allah, I'll know where to draw the line. I just need to see things from a different perspective.
Dear Allah, please grant me the strength to do well in all I undertake. Let me be a light in the livs of the people I meet. Bless all of us. Keep us from danger, harm & evil. Allow our successes to be inspiring to others as well as keep us humble (I know I've a BIG problem with that) and share the limited knowledge we have to better the lives of everyone alike. Please bless us with the patience to recognise what is important and that which is not. For You are the Most Merciful & Gracious. Insya Allah, we will be Your true warriors in this time!
