K800i

I wonder why some women fall in love with the man they fall in love with. I had an encounter with a nice lady with a somewhat less than... let's say personable partner. Granted, I'm no angel myself, but I would like to think I don't pull a black face in front of others, especially when my girlfriend or wife is around.

Well, it's weird, this thing called love.

After my meeting, I managed to do Jemaah prayers for Zohr in the mosque in Jurong East (I call it the "cyber" mosque. Not because it's state of the art, but it's design is with straight lines and neat). Made an appointment to meet up with Su to get her a new cell phone. Decided against taking the tube. No fun. Beginning to take a liking to long bus rides now. Gives me a chance to take a nap as well. ^_^

Met in Capitol Building. Told her what I remembered of the place close to 30 years ago. The alley was filled with hawkers, back when ACS was at Coleman Street. I remember the hawkers of famous beef noodles, wan ton noodles... all of which are popular now. I can't somehow help but think the only reason my dad brought us to school was because of the food.

Took a bus to Far East Plaza to look for the phone, with the intention to pray at Royal Scotts. But the place was closed. Thought it would be a better idea to have a look at the phone and then make a trip to Al-Falah. Looking at the time, it's most likely Su would have to qadak her Subhr & Zohr. I didn't like it one bit. Afterall, my responsibility is to make sure she progresses in her Islamic ways, and to me, it's not missing prayers as well, unless it couldn't really be helped. Although we could move to Al-Falah immediately, I had a feeling that we'll both be too spent to go back to look at cell phones.

At the shop, Su made a decision faster than I could flash my Nets ATM card! Alhamdulilah! She managed to do some research & in her mind, she already knew what she wanted! I'm so proud of her! For all you people shaking your heads, Su is someone who, in cases like this (which I would like to call shopping) almost never does any research! So you can imagine my surprise! We managed to get the SE K800i at $550. I was more surprised when she said that $550 was a good enough deal as others were selling it at $590! Everyday is a new day of learning when it comes to her. Insya Allah, I will learn more about her.

Went to Al-Falah for Ashr prayers straight after that. Alhamdulilah! Do you know what made me happier than I could buy the phone for her? It's the fact that when we arrived at the mosque, she needn't qadak her Zohr! Alhamdulilah! At least I would have done my small part in ensuring that my future wife, Insya Allah, maintains her prayers without fail, unless necessary. That for me today, was the biggest gift I could give her. The conversations we had was the second biggest. The time we managed to spend together was a close third. The phone ranks near the middle. Oh... she bought a silicon case for herself though, so it can't be said that I paid for everything.

I love her, and I wish I can do more. I wanna pamper her as much as I can, Insya Allah, and give her the best anyone could possibly have, not only in material comfort, but spiritually as well. I hope that I would have the determination to learn how to pray better, and in the sunnat positions as well as be knowledgeable about the Quran to teach and guide my offsprings, Insya Allah. Seriously, I can't wait for us to form a family together. I wanna prove to her that she did not make a wrong choice with me. Love ya kid!
