Chilli Padi

I say and do the weirdest things when I pray. Just now, I found myself shouting, well, not actually shouting out loud, but in my heart when I was doing my Sunnat Hajat. What a wonderful prayer! What a great means to have to commuincate to Him in this manner! I wish I would do this everyday! Insya Allah!

Alhamdulilah & Alhamdulilah! Su & I managed to fast successfully today! How great He is! All I had was a lil' headache. It came and went. Alhamdulilah, I was also able to do some things today. Insya Allah, I would be able to fast without a hitch soon and continue the stressful life I lead with fasting on my favourite things to do! It's so so satisfying! And the weather was great! I was so worried it'll be so hot! I was awake till 430 am, drank some water but didn't hear the alarm on my cell phone till 610 am! I didn't drink alot of water at all! What a magical day! Subahan Allah!!! Oh, nearly forgot that I did not bitch about it too! Alhamdulilah! Insya Allah, this day's fast would be fruitful too! Insay Allah!

Dinner @ Inspirasi was great! Poor Su had a bad runny nose, so she thought it'd be better to have chicken soup aka mee soto... but this time, with lotsa chilli padi to clear her nose! Guess who ended eating her share of noodles in her bowl. My quota is usually a bowl of mee rebus & mee soto each, and with her's, it's 3 bowls! Alhhamdulilah! And the kakak there was nice too! Seems that the cook is the second brother of ten children! Alhamdulilah! kakak is number nine!

Took real long trips on the bus this morning (Hey! Just realised that my entry's not in chronological order! Pai seh! Bbear with me ah!). Caught a bus ride to Bishan. Actually wanted to go to Toa Payoh, and since service 55 was at the stop, thought why not try it. Had a pleasant conversation with a young Indian lady on it too. Alhamdulilah! There was a library in Bishan, beside CPF building, so managed to return the book I've been reading there. Took a short walk around the mall and caught a train to Toa Payoh HDBHub.

Managed to ask some questions on financing matters, called my friend who's a senior officer there to help me find out some info, then took a bus to Golden Mile. Thought it'll be nice. Su loves Doremon Milk, and it's the cheapest in GM (bought 3 flavours except for orange), and besides, I wanted to look for a sling bag. Have also been shopping for a mirror for the bathroom, but no luck. Either too expensive or too small. And have been forgetting to buy a roll-on for me armpits. Sigh... Insya Allah, I'll be able to remember ya?!

Jun, Su's buddy since Haig Girls School will be getting married on 5th Feb 07 to Fendy! Alhamdulilah! What a pair! We wish them all the very best & more! Insya Allah! They're real characters these two! Pray for their happiness ya!

Just learnt, my buddy from long ago, Jibson, has a baby! Yeah! But he was busy with his kid when I called, so I didn't even have the chance to ask it's gender and name! Alhamdulilah! I am such a happy camper!

Another thing, something that Su & I didn't not even expect. Her mother, as my birthday present, bought me a kain aka sarong! Alhamdulilah! I was at her place in the evening, waiting to break fast at maghrib, but had to do my kahdak prayer for zohr & fardul for ashr. But I was in shorts, so needed to borrow her kain. And her mother took a new piece and said it was my birthday present! Alhamdulilah! She said since I needed it, she didn't wrap it and gave it to me instead! What a wonderful person! Allah Akbar! He is showing me the goodness in everyone! Just a few months ago, before Ramadan, I doubt I would be close to the person I am now. I truly x infinity hope that this would last! I can feel the gradual change. Insya Allah, I hope to be a good muslim. And with trinkets like these, how can I not be touched?! Alhamdulilah! And she made a date with us to treat me dinner on Thursday, my actual birthday! Subahan Alllah! No one ever celebrated my birthday before in my adult life. Some years, actually, many years, I forget my own birthday! Shashi never fails to call me on that day for all the years we've been friends. I return the favour yearly with him too! What a great friend! Life don't get better than this! Alhamdulilah!

Why wasn't I introducedd to Islam earlier? Then again, maybe if I was, I would not have appreciated life as it is now, even though materially, I may not have much. But the faith in my is over-flowing! Alhamdulilah! I have it much better than born-muslims, which reminds me that tomorrow, Su is following me to DA for lessons! Subahan Allah! What a great girlfriend He has given me! I have been treating Su as a wife for the longest time. Insya Allah, I would be a good husband! But please, please let me get my posture right for my soolat! Argh! Though my feet hurts when I do the 'sit between Sujuud' & 'sitting for Tashahhud Awwal', I badly want to do it so that Insya Allah, I can teach my kids the proper way! Please ah!!!
